LISTEN ON SPOTIFY: Solitude Sessions, formed in early 2019, started as a remote collaboration between neo-classical composers and multi-instrumentalists Wheeler Sparks, Jared Meyer and Thomas Pendergrast. Composed and recorded during a pandemic, the three albums serve as a reminder that even difficult moments strengthen you if you relate to them properly. Cover design by yours truly.

LISTEN ON SPOTIFY: As a Thomas J Watson fellow I studied, composed and performed music with indigenous communities on five continents in an effort to better understand the universal language of art, as well as my own indigenous roots. I learned from other traditions, assimilated new ways of seeing the world and excavated meaning that ultimately lead me back to my grandfather, whose career as a musician was destroyed by the second World War. I felt this story express something about the trauma that the past contains. I imagine I will always look back on those conversations and this music as a moment where life became unstuck in time and the individual grew from the knowledge of the other. These ideas became lyrical, melodic and harmonic roots of a solitary journey toward knowing the unknown. Cover Art by Travis Lawrence and yours truly.
